In 2022, TNSDC launched the 'Nalaiya Thiran' programme under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme to
empower 55,000 engineering students across 538 colleges in Tamil Nadu with essential IT skills. In
collaboration with
FutureSkills Prime, ICT Academy, and IBM as the technology partner, the program trained around 3,000
faculty
members to mentor these students.
This scheme aimed at enhancing youth employability through comprehensive upskilling programs.
